Thong Sala, the island’s port town and main ferry arrival point, is 10.6 km away. Koh Phangan has no airport: visitors arriving through Samui International Airport continue to a pier and take a boat to the island, usually arriving at Thong Sala. From there, shared songthaews travel towards Thong Nai Pan; the road to this part of the island is steep, so allow for a road journey after the ferry.
